Need a quick and easy (and delicious) Valentine treat? How about fruit and chocolate? Healthy and yummy!
If you have a little bit of time before you plan on eating the treat:
Chocolate Dipped Fruit:
Step one: Melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips (or a good quality chocolate bar). Either microwave it for 30 seconds at a time (be careful not to cook it too long) or melt in a glass bowl placed over a pot of boiling water.
Step two: Dip fresh fruit into the chocolate and place on a piece of wax paper on a baking sheet or plate.
Step three: Place in fridge until chocolate has hardened.
Eat this soon after it’s hardened if you wait too long the fruit gets mushy. Strawberries are classic, but also try blackberries or my favorite, raspberries.

Homemade melted chocolate and fruit:
Step one: In a double boiler (I use a glass bowl over a pot of boiling water because I’m fancy like that), melt 2 T. coconut oil, 1/4 cup cocoa, 1/2 t. pure vanilla and 1 T honey (or to taste). If it isn’t smooth enough, you can add a t. butter.
Step two: Once the mixture has combined (and tastes delicious), remove from the heat and serve with fresh fruit.
