Last month I shared one of our favorite “fun” meals – Fondue.  Well, if you plan a fondue night, let’s face it, you need to have chocolate fondue too!  It may not be the lowest calorie dessert ever, but for a once in a while special night, it’s perfect – I only use real food ingredients and plenty of fruit for dipping!  Here is my super simple recipe – this would be perfect for New Year’s Eve!  Enjoy:

Chocolate Fondue:

Step one: In a saucepan or fondue pot, melt 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or a couple of bars of good dark chocolate), 1/4 cup heavy organic cream, 1 to 2 t. vanilla, 1 T strong coffee and if needed thin out with a bit of hot water.  Keep an eye on the pot and stir regularly to keep it from burning.

Step two:  Once the sauce is melted, enjoy with plenty of dippers – fruit (bananas, apples, pineapple, strawberries), homemade marshmallows, graham crackers, etc.

How easy was that?  And I guarantee – it WILL be a hit.
