So I have to say I’ve been anxiously awaiting the beginning of this new project! Since I’ve had it in the plans for a few weeks (that’s the way blogging works!) but it’s a time sensitive project I’ve been excited but haven’t been able to start. No more! It’s definitely been a change for me – the last year I’ve spent some time each morning studying for my coaching masterclass, but now that it’s complete I’m on my own.
Each morning I’ll be reading a chapter of Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time and completing the associated exercises. I started yesterday (September 1st) and so I’ve completed the first two chapters. They have been quick to read, but I have spent some time thinking through the questions and doing the actual work – anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes will probably be the norm. I’ll also read/ play with one of the 7 Habits from the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change each week. The chapters are fairly long so I suspect I’ll read Monday – Wednesday and spend Thursday and Friday doing the exercises. Weekends are off – it’s important to me to unplug on the weekends and spend time with family and friends.
Each week I’ll do a little re-cap here and on my Facebook Page. Please feel free to comment and share your experiences too – by holding each other accountable, we can accomplish so much more! Hopefully I’m not the only person out there who geeks out on learning and trying new things. In my experience, being open to new things and being curious are terrific ways to enhance your life and get more enjoyment out of it. I’ve shared my thoughts on continual learning HERE and HERE.
If what I’m studying this month just isn’t an interest of yours, don’t worry – each month will be something new and different. In the meantime, if you have any interest in healthy living, I highly encourage you to check out this FREE e-course on the 4 Essential Habits of Healthy Families. It consists of 4 modules – each highlighting a different area of overall health as well as a prominent blogger in that particular area. I took the course and there were many golden nuggets. Read my review HERE. This is time sensitive as the course is only available through September 6th – then you are out of luck. Check it out today by clicking:
Here’s to a great Fall and a plan to finish 2015 strong! Be Healthy. Be Happy.
