Let’s SLOW DOWN & Simplify in October
As promised, I want to give you time to check out the next month’s books at the library or order them from the bookstore. So, here’s a little taste of what I’ll be working on/ reviewing in October:
So I’ve had this book for a few years now and have “started” it several times but I just don’t follow through. Which is crazy since many of the chapters delve into EXACTLY what I work on with my clients (the cobbler’s son and all I guess). Hopefully the accountability of blogging about it will keep me on track this month. I can’t promise I’ll manage the weekends so this might bleed into November a little bit. I try very hard to keep my weekends family oriented, so I typically don’t do anything work-related.
Another good book that I’ve owned and “tried” to follow a few times in the past year or so. Once again, I’m hoping accountability will motivate me to complete the entire 30 days. Some of these tasks are longer (for example, it’s going to take me much longer than 30 minutes to go through my photos ~ chapter 25), so I know this will take me more than the stated 30 days. However, I will commit to getting through all of it a few chapters a week.
In addition, since I just read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing last month (look for my review next week), I’ll be incorporating some of those principles as I go.
October seems like a good month to get everything in order, slow down and simplify – just in time to relax and enjoy the up-coming holidays. Want to play along? Here’s to a season of simplifying!!!
