March 2017 Book Reviews

Shockingly I didn’t read a bunch in March.  Just seems like we were always busy with life – which isn’t a bad thing at all!  HERE is the list of everything I read, and I’m sharing a bit about my favorites below:

I really love the premise of this book.  I haven’t quite implemented it all yet, but I have found some of the tips for getting up early VERY helpful.  The outlined morning routine very closely follows my ideal morning, so any encouragement I can get for getting it to work consistently is terrific.  My rating 4.5 out of 5.

Who doesn’t love Chip and Jo?  We don’t have cable, but when I’m traveling I like to watch an episode or two of Fixer Upper.  I really enjoyed their story – they have had quite a crazy life and have worked hard to get to where they are today.  They didn’t just “get lucky” or know someone to get on TV.  It was also interesting to learn about all the other businesses they have going on – the TV show we all watch is just a small portion.  My rating 4 out of 5.

  1. I just finished reading the Magnolia Story myself. I thought it was really nice to learn some background info about them and learn how they have grown to where they are today. Their tv show is always great to watch as well.

    1. Yes, I love the show and I got a huge kick out of hearing their back story – they really do seem like they “act” on TV.
